Nimages: An Image Gallery

Nimages is currently in beta testing. These downloads are not supported, and probably won't even work for your system. DO NOT EMAIL ME FOR SUPPORT WHEN THIS SCRIPT FAILS. I thank you for your concern, but I have a team of beta testers currently running this script through their own servers and reporting to me the problems that occur. Once I hit the first "public" version, then the public bug reports can flow...

That being said, if you ARE on the beta team, I expect, nay...I demand the most detailed reporting! (But a joke! I kiss the ground you guys walk on...) However, if you are not on the team and download this program, instead of fighting (or in most cases, not) the urge to send me an email that says "this doesn't work", please consider sending, instead, an email that details what went wrong, on what line, and the server conditions. Good luck!

There are some features that, though are in the config, do not yet properly work.
Current TODO List (almost more for me than you...)

  • Rewrite the config file creation functions
  • Add sorting images
  • Add option for displaying a random image from the gallery in the gallery list
  • Template system
  • Control panel ANYTHING
  • Editing images and dscs
  • Uploading Images
  • Multiple galleries
  • Password protected galleries. (User only gallerys???)
  • User system
  • Comments system

Possible TODO List (some of this code is in place, but might be removed instead of continued. Give me your support and / or ideas)

  • Rating System (users / viewers could rate a pic)
  • Random Display of images in a gallery (for a front page of a website or something)
  • Slideshow view
  • Drop-n-go support (similar to the way JCSid was doing it, but, well, better.)

So basically, if you see a reference to any of these features in the install, it's not worth a pair dingo kidneys what you put in there right now.

Templates and their use are currently, as they say, bunk. I'm waiting to decide on the best way to implement this, and it will be with help from users like you that I'll find the best way. Please send me your ideas concerning everything from the install to the execution, to the options (or lack thereof).
